This Brochure will provide information on wheelchair transportation services for Ontario.

General Information Accessible transportation, especially in large groups, is often met with challenges both expected and unforeseen.  At Wheelchair Accessible Transit, we believe that these challenges should not be transferred onto our clients.  In the spirit of this notion, we’ve developed an accessible van service that gives our passengers a travel experience that is as professional as it is effortless.  For traveling parties large and small to destinations both near and far, our fleet is sure to contain the vehicle that offers the greatest efficiency of both cost and space.  Below, we’ve included some useful facts about our vehicles and our services.  To book an accessible van for your next journey, or if you require any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact us.  One of our experienced representatives will be happy to assist. Our Services Primarily designed for ease and comfort while traveling, our accessible van service is the ideal solution for those clients seeking comfort, safety and efficiency.  When booking, please specify the size of your party, including the number of wheelchairs and walk-ons, so that we might recommend the optimal vehicle size.  Our vans accommodate a wide range of travel demands, including: 

• Airport transportation
• Corporate events
• Conferences
• Group outings
• Shuttle services
• Families with children and who require car seats or booster seats (requested at time of booking)
• Trips with large amount of luggage
• Special events (i.e. weddings, funerals, proms, etc..)

     Our Vehicles Our fleet consists of a number of different models, each one state-of-the-art, that vary in size in order to best serve our clients’ particular transportation needs.  Both aesthetically pleasing and field-tested, our accessible vans are known for meeting and exceeding expectations.  They offer: 

• Accommodation for up to 6 wheelchairs depending on size of wheelchairs and number of walk-on’s
• Side or rear entry for ease of boarding and disembarking depending on request
• Low access floors for convenience and comfort

 Ride in Comfort There’s more to transportation than arrival and departure.  At Wheelchair Accessible Transit, we want our passengers to enjoy the ride, especially in the event of long trips.  To this end, our vans come equipped with a number of amenities, including: 

• AM/FM Radio (optional CD player)
• Heating and air conditioning for climate control
• Tinted windows for enhanced privacy
• Large viewing windows (on certain vehicles and at request of customers)
• High head room with 7 foot ceilings inside on certain vehicles)

  Committed to Safety Our wheelchair accessible vans – from small to extra-large – are among the safest vehicles on the road.  Every on-board system has been thoroughly checked and every effort has been made to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our passengers.  In addition, all of our vans are: 

• Compatible with CSA-D409 requirements
• Made subject to a rigorous maintenance program
• Equipped with a first aid kit, fire extinguisher, seat belt cutters and flares
• Equipped with a two way radio and GPS monitoring system
• Drivers are certifies with first aid and CPR training
• Car seat or booster seat at request of customer (at time of booking)
